Fraunhofer Application Center and its cooperation partners

The Fraunhofer Application Center for Processing Machinery and Packaging Technology (AVV) is a competent and certified service provider for industrial R&D tasks in the field of processing and packaging of basic consumer goods. Our major target sectors include food and packaging engineering as well as processing industries such as paper and foil processing or the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industry.

SCUS has specialised in optimizing packaging and packaging of technical products. The latter is carried out in cooperation with key personnel in the field of corrosion protection, paper technology and design. The network PACKNET Dresden® (visit www.packnet-dresden.de) provides access to key companies covering services along the value chain of packaging processes.

The Fraunhofer Application Center (AVV) is a branch of the Fraunhofer Institute for Process Engineering and Packaging (IVV) based in Freising, Bavaria. Their expertise in dealing with food and packaging means provides an excellent and professional analytical and technological background.

Prof. Majschak is the director of the Dresden Fraunhofer Application Center and at the same time holds the Chair for Processing Machinery and Processing Engineering at the Dresden University of Technology. The chair’s focus is on the recognition of development potentials based on findings about the interactions between filling goods, packaging means and machines.
